It’s been a while since I last blogged. I’ve been so busy trying to get ahead with work and trying to balance everything else I’m wanting to do – unsuccessfully so far. Of course, I haven’t really tried that hard to find a solution. I’m going to really work on that this upcoming week. I usually just pick something to work on, and everything else gets ignored for a while. Yeah, not the best way to handle it.
The weather has been beautiful since we officially started this year’s fall season. It actually feels like fall, so I’m thrilled! My confederate rose bush that my mom started for me from a cutting off of hers is doing so well this year! It didn’t bloom or get very tall last year, but it’s got some beautiful blooms on it right now.
On a not-so-good note, I have gained quite a bit of weight since the beginning of this year when it was colder weather. Trying on clothes before going somewhere in the past 2-3 months has been depressing. Less and less have fit, including some of my favorites. I’ve also went up a jean size, almost two. So this past Sunday, I decided to go through my closet and put away anything I couldn’t wear (or comfortably wear) until I lost some of the weight. As of this week, I have started back to exercising and trying to eat better. I’ve had my good and bad days. Eating healthy won’t become habit overnight. I have created a separate blog devoted entirely to my weight loss journey at healthfullygood.com, that way you won’t be bombarded with health and fitness posts here on this site. Needless to say, I got rid of a LOT of clothes. It took 3 days (off and on), going through everything and trying it on to see if it still fit.
This morning, I took some time to reorganize the structure of April’s Webpage a little. Hopefully this will make it easier to navigate if anyone wants to browse through my posts. I’ve simplified a lot of the post categories into one category: Blog. And then there will be recipes I post.
