Yeah, so this past weekend was just horrible. I pretty much spent the entire weekend in bed, like you see in the picture – and that is soooo not like me. That’s how bad I felt. Alex and I went to the movies Friday night with my sister and a cousin. Which, by the way, don’t waste your time on the new Wizard of Oz movie. It sucked. Out of the 4 of us, no one liked it. I couldn’t wait for it to be over! The previews are deceiving. It was still way too kid-like to me.
Saturday morning was the beginning of my sickness. I felt horrible. Waves of nausea, no appetite, super-sensitive skin (achy skin), breaking out into sweats and then freezing 30 minutes later… just overall blah. I don’t know if it was food poisoning or a stomach bug. My temperature went up to 100.6° F, but thankfully some Aleave brought it down to normal before bedtime. No one else out of the movie bunch got sick (we ate dinner beforehand), so I’m guessing it was a stomach bug. Yesterday was equally bad. My fever was gone, but other not-so-pleasant symptoms were present. I bet I didn’t eat more than 500 calories worth of food and beverages in those 2 days combined. I actually lost 2 1/2 lbs from Friday morning to this morning. I was curious, so I had to weigh and see. Now if only I can keep it off…
Thankfully, our work plans over the weekend got canceled. There’s no way I could have gotten out of bed and interacted with anyone.
So today, I will spend some time catching up on a few blog posts, and then I need to do some cleaning around the house before tomorrow. The house at least needs vacuuming and the dishes are overflowing from the kitchen sink. Maybe later, if I feel daring, I’ll go to the grocery store for just a few items. So far, I am feeling better this morning, though I’m still not 100%.
